About us
Before we bought Candlelight Cottage, we spent many hours thinking
about what we would want to find in a self catering holiday cottage
ourselves and just as important, what we would not want to find! We made
lists, quizzed our friends and bored our family to death. Candlelight
Cottage is the result and we are still always adding new items to make
it even better.
Our guests often refer to the cleanliness of the cottage and our attention to detail. We are committed to making your stay with us as happy and relaxed as possible and hope you will want to return again and again. Candlelight Cottage is a family run, self catering holiday cottage, business and we aim to do all we can to ensure you have a really good time here in the Peak District. We always welcome everyone personally on arrival and are available to help with anything you might wish to know both before and during your stay.
We
like to introduce guests to locally made specialities by including a
selection of them in our welcome pack. We are lucky to have several
local pubs featured in The Good Pub Guide so there is plenty of choice
when you go out to eat and drink.
We know how lucky we are to live in this beautiful area and are keen to reduce the impact of our business on the environment as much as possible. We were very pleased therefore to become Peak District Environmental Quality Mark holders two years ago. The PDEQM recognises businesses which have adopted good environmental practices and contribute to the conservation of The Peak District National Park. Being part of the scheme has allowed us to add goods and services which enhance our guests’ stay with us and help the local economy. Click here to find out more.
